The Chevy 348 was a V8 big block engine produced by Chevrolet from 1957 to 1961. Known as the RAT Motor, it had a displacement of 348 ci and was known for its high-performance capabilities, making it a popular choice for muscle cars and hot rods of the era. The engine featured hydraulic lifters and was available in various forms, including a turbo-thrust version that produced up to 335 horsepower. The Chevy 348 was eventually replaced by the 409, but it remains a sought-after engine among classic car enthusiasts and this one is an exceptional example that is completely ready for final machining and assembly.
All of the parts of this Chevy 348 are original OEM factory original parts from the original engine and all are in excellent condition.
